CLECSS Recognized STL Alumni Ding Ding in its 2020 “Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers”


In June of this year, Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) 2015 alumni, Mr. Ding Ding, was recognized by the China Legal Education and Career Seminar Series (CLECSS) as one of the ranking lawyers in its "Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers" award. The annual award acknowledges legal professionals who live up to the CLECSS code of "think big, do big".

Ding Ding earned his bachelor degree from School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Peking University. In 2011, he was admitted to STL's J.D. and J.M. program. Then after graduation, in 2017, he obtained an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. Ding Ding is also a New York Bar holder.

Currently, Ding Ding works as an in-house counsel at 37 Interactive Entertainment, providing legal services for its overseas business. Before joining the overseas business team, Ding Ding provided personal data protection, litigation, intellectual property, contract review and other legal services for 37. Before joining 37, Ding Ding worked at NetEase and Perfect World Co., Ltd where he has reviewed game licensing contracts valued at over US$10 million.

Recently, Ding Ding was interview by CLECSS. In the interview, he mentioned that his experience at STL allowed him to understand and learn about different legal systems, which enabled him to develop the skills that are now serving him well in his career.

Asked about his long-term goals, Ding Ding said he wants to become a scholar who specializes in game law. He wants to do his best to promote the systemization and formalization of game law, thereby becoming, not just a witness to, but an active participant in this process.
