主讲人简介：

Douglas Levene现为北京大学国际法学院副教授，同时担任芝加哥大学法学院访问教授。他曾先后就读于麻省理工学院和耶鲁大学，后以最优等成绩获密歇根大学J.D.学位。任教前，他曾先后出任菲利普•莫里斯资本公司的副总裁兼总法律顾问与卡夫食品公司的首席并购顾问。Levene教授早年受聘于众达、世达以及佳利这三家世界顶尖的跨国律所。毕业后，分别为美国联邦第二巡回上诉法院Lumbard法官和美国最高法院首席大法官Warren Burger担任法官助理。

Introduction:

Douglas Levene is an associate professor at Peking University School of Transnational Law, and a visiting professor at University of Chicago. Following his years at the MIT and Yale University, he received a J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining STL, he was the Vice President and General Counsel of Philip Morris Capital Corporation, and earlier, the Chief M&A Counsel for Kraft Foods, Inc. Professor Levene’s earlier career also included positions with three leading multinational law firms, Jones Day, Skadden Arps and Cleary Gottlieb, respectively. He clerked for Judge J. Edward Lumbard on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Chief Justice Warren Burger on the United States Supreme Court.
