The Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot is one of the largest and most prestigious mooting competitions in the world, focused on international commercial law and arbitration. Organized in Hong Kong, the Vis (East) Moot attracts participants from over 150 law schools across numerous countries, mirroring the global nature of the competition. The moot simulates a fictional commercial dispute between international parties, adjudicated under the rules of arbitration, providing students with practical experience in the complexities of dispute resolution.
